Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
ScriptDraft is built for writers. Your stories are yours — we have no interest in reading them, selling them, or storing them on our servers without your knowledge.
What we collect
- Nothing by default. ScriptDraft works fully offline. All scripts, scenes, and project data are stored locally on your device using SQLite.
- Voice audio (temporary). When you use the recording feature, audio is processed on-device by the system speech recogniser. Audio is never sent to ScriptDraft servers.
- AI requests (optional). When you use AI Script Generation or Cloud Translation, your scene text is sent to Google Gemini via an encrypted API call. Google's privacy policy applies to this data. ScriptDraft does not store copies of these requests.
- Cloud backup (user-triggered). If you choose to back up your scripts to iCloud or Google Drive, the backup is stored in your own cloud storage account. ScriptDraft cannot access it.
What we do not collect
- Account credentials (no accounts required)
- Analytics or behavioural tracking
- Advertising identifiers
- Your script content on our servers
Crash reporting
The app may collect anonymised crash logs via the platform's built-in reporting (Apple Crashlytics / Android Vitals). These logs contain device type and OS version — no script content, no personal data.
Children
ScriptDraft is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
